Our retained search process is well thought out, and very thorough. It consists of the following ten steps:

Through carefully listening and in-depth discussions with hiring managers, we clearly define our client’s needs, the specific qualifications desired, how the position fits into the organization, key performance challenges, the educational requirements, the desired length of experience, and when pertinent, the working relationships and the compensation and benefit program. In addition we also provide a short description of the culture of the organization.

A “marketing” document is then prepared containing relevant information and a generic description of the company. The document is then sent for client approval.

Before making any contacts, we thoroughly research potential sources for the best candidates, and we develop a networking strategy to identify candidates who possess the required qualifications commensurate with the position specification. The Strategy is sent for client approval.

A thorough multifaceted candidate search is initiated based on needs analysis, candidate profile, and our research. Our Retained Search fee structure varies depending on the specifics of each search. Generally, clients pay a non-refundable engagement fee to launch our search on an exclusive basis. Additional fees are paid when mutually agreed up milestones are achieved in the search process. Typically, these milestones include development of the search strategy, initiation of the search, initial delivery of candidates who satisfy the specifications that you have outlined, and ultimately hiring of a candidate that we have presented. Clients approve our progress before paying any additional fees. We guarantee the candidate for the first 90 days of employment.
